My exciting visit and Wimbledon.....

My emotional visit to......

Such an emotional morning, we went to look at the house my Mum was born in  and a delightful young girl "Roisin" was living in it with University friends and she invited us in to see inside the house, I didn't expect that it would affect me as it did but I'm soooo pleased that I took the time to be there..... Heather... Roisin...me... June.......so that now means 5 generations have now been in that house..... my Grandmother....my Mum, me, my daughter and my granddaughter........

Bye bye Hammersmith.....

Our Wimbledon visit.....

I think that racket is just a bit big for Sylvio and it won't fit in his bag.....

I have always wanted to go to Wimbledon to see the tennis but we are going at the wrong time of the year, it was great to do a tour and get the feel of it....
I unfortunately have to say that our afternoon tea of Scones Jam and cream were the worst scones I have ever had and the cream was really awful but the tea was fine.....
I did enjoy the experience of the whole place though......

London continues

A night in Soho square.....

Kensington Gardens.....

Princess Dianna Fountain....
maybe it looks better if the water was flowing ....

Lovely breakfast and morning teas here....

We did check out a lot of  Mounted Police on our journey.....
Heather was interested to chat with them as she is in the QLD mounted unit.

June....

Just hanging out at the Palace.....
a little bit damp but we will be back later for our tour of Buckingham Palace,
I hope Liz has a cuppa waiting for us..... lol

It just wouldn't be a trip to London without having tea in
"The Tea Room" at Harrods.....

Sylvio..., Heather... me and June

This sandwich had a fancy name and tasted soooo good, Harrods style

The cakes were to die for.....
so we all got something different and shared....

The staff were wonderful.... our table wasn't in the greatest spot so the waitress gave us 2 extra cakes for being so nice..... so that was special....

Of course I did a little special shopping in the Christmas shop....
yes it was in Harrods...

My new stitching buddie,....

How very nice of Harrods to do a biscuit with my initial on it......

my evening cuppa back at our hotel....

We had a wonderful tour of "Buckingham Palace" in the afternoon.....

unfortunately the Queen wasn't there so she didn't have a cuppa waiting....
sadly you can't take any photos but this is the back patio.... lol

Back soon.....
