This little mug rug I made as part of an Easter Raffle for our Sunday Stitchers group.

Another Easter finish but this one is for me....
A Natalie Bird pattern that I have been meaning to make for quite a while...

Another quick post for today.....

A short and sweet post today

Firstly ..... do you like my new Header, the lovely Shez made it for us Tuesday Girls so I thought I would have a change and I think it looks pretty good.

Now the wreath project is coming along very very nicely I must say....
Candies are done..... on to the wreath itself now.

I started a little face book group as there are a few ladies doing these felt Christmas ornies so now we can keep our mojo going and encourage each other.....
it seems to be working and we are all having fun, if you would like to join in then pop over here..,...
all welcome to play.

Candies

More felt fun for Teresa... Nor and me...... next project delivered.... fun, fun, fun....

At our Sunday Stitchers a couple of weeks ago we had Natalie Bird do a workshop for us...
this is the project I chose to do, the pattern is for an Ipad/tablet cover but I didn't need one so I put my thinking cap on and decided to make a needlecase instead..... you can never have too many of these.

I do have a favourite needle case which is an Annie Downs pattern ...here 2012....so I have made a combination of both patterns and came up with this.....  now I have 2 favourites.....
I needed the needle case to fold in half once to fit the stitchery on it but the other pattern is narrower and folds in 3 so this is why I had to change things around.

Natalie Bird and Annie Downs are my favourite designers so I have the best of both worlds in one project..... gosh I wish I could design but its not a talent I have unfortunately......

Well that's it for today.... hopefully more to show next time.

Let's Get Stitched 2015

This was my first time to join the girls at the "Let's Get Stitched" and I wasn't  disappointed, what fantastic fun it was  to be in this group.
Here are the "Nutter's " and our 2 secret designers.

Michelle.. Vicki.. Joy.. Fee..Dawn and the very secretive Teresa.
4 Nutter's in the middle.

I just liked this photo, looking relaxed I think.

I had so much fun with this lot too.... my roomies....
Norreen.. Narelle..Teresa..Sandi.

My photos are a bit muddled up so in no special order...
these are purchases made on our bus trip and prizes at games night.

Patterns from the designers that were in our goodie bags.

These 2 don't look naughty do they ?  But they are trust me.

We had to make a name badge for a secret partner and just look at this beauty made for me by Narelle.....
it's soooo me and I love it.....Thank you Narelle.

I made this badge for Sandi and as you all know she has a cat "Maci" and I knew she would miss her soooo much ..... thought this badge might make her happy.

Well games night...... oh my goodness was this funny.....
I was lucky (not) to get to bust a balloon by sitting on it and then having to do the "poise" dance....
I know you don't get it but always remember that what happens on retreats stay on retreats and that's all I have to say about that other than to say...... embarrassing moment and yes I am blowing my nose on a poise pad..... unused of course.

Christine teaching me the "poise" dance.....

Narelle trying to bust a balloon.... it was much harder to bust them than I had imagined.

Swap table

Sunday was stitching day and we had to do a sensible photo......
hmmmm I tried but these 2 didn't as you can see.

Now we are behaving....

Girls paying attention to the designers showing their projects.

We all went to dinner on Saturday night and to our surprise at the
"Naked Whisky Bar" we were confronted with walls covered in old nude photos....

you can imagine the laughter that went on.....

Love these girls..... we only met Narelle this weekend but we all felt as though we had known her forever and its such a pity that she lives sooooo far away from us but we look forward to seeing her again in the future.

Maybe these luscious ladies might be us in a past life..... lol....

What do you think ?

So I needed a stiff drink..... it was yum too.

You all know this lady....Shez .... I think she would have won a prize for taking the most photos over the weekend...... I have have pinched quite a few photos so thanks to everyone who took such great shots.

Saturday was a free day to do just what ever we wanted so we went to the Markets at South Bank and found a great cafe "Flowers" the food was fantastic.....

Playing in the garden....

Paparazzi is everywhere..... even in the plants.

Great view of the shop from upstairs in the cafe.

My photos are out of order but hopefully they tell a story for you.....
What a group, thank you ladies for a fun time....
no I'm not going to name everyone.

I had the best time and I hope to see all the wonderful ladies again soon.

Farewell to 2015 Let's Get Stitched......

Toooo much for one post.....

Tuesday the 3rd saw us celebrating Teresa's Birthday..... lucky it was on a Tuesday this year.
Our other Birthday girl ... Tereasa had to work so we caught up with her later in the week.

We waited and waited for the Birthday girl to arrive so we decided to have a little nap

Norreen, Sandi, me and Pippa...... all on my bed.

Gavan is taking the photo.......
you should have seen the look on his face when we asked him to take this photo.......

Finally she arrived and we were able to have our morning tea.

We were sooooo naughty buying this great wall hanger.....
its a long story and you had to be there I guess.

Blowing out the candles.

Then we were off to our local cafe  for lunch.....

Of course it was another day full of laughter and eating.
We hope Teresa had a great day too.

On the stitching front....

I made this cute little owl and card for a new baby girl
Congratualtions to the new parents.

I  just had to get this cute mug for Lynda and yes she is an Extra Special Nanna.

I will be back very soon to report on the wonderful weekend I spent with the
Let's Get Stitched girls.
