A great day and gifts too !!!!!

Boy we don't look like we are having fun but we did really, here is ( blogless) Laurel, Teresa and Mary.

Which drink to have.... life is full of choices.

The terrible T's.

Wow this did taste good.... yummo.

And gifts as well.... Laurel made these goodies  for me but alas they are all gone now.

Teresa gave me this terrific gift... pudding in a mug, haven't made that yet,  the sewing keeper is always useful and the cute santa decoration.

And these goodies are from Tereasa, love the little sewing machine,  one can never have too many buttons,   and the little bird needle holder and fabric. What great crafty friends, lucky me.

Great day out with friends

Here is a recipe for a great day out......
firstly go with good friends.... Tereasa, Teresa, Laurel and myself of course.
visit a terrific craft shop.... Faeries in My Garden... so many lovely things.
have a nice lunch.... little cafe near craft shop
laugh lots.... most definately
and most importantly .... make purchases from craft shop
we did all of the above on Melbourne Cup day.
There are piccies of us all on Teresa's blog

I've been very slow with my blogging lately but I'm back on track now. I have been working on new projects but can't show them here yet as they are mostly for swaps so please check back another day.

Its been a while..... but here I am.

Here is my new leadlight lampshade, I have been looking for a shade for such a long time and I finally found one, a little pressie for me.... from me. lol

Isn't it pretty, love the colours when the light is on.

Finally finished the "Floral Dreams" quilt, its for the chair my Mum sits on, its a lot bigger than the chair but I'm sure I'll manage.

I finished this quilt for Tereasa, she had made the top and I layered, quilted and bound it .... shes a busy little possum and just didn't have the time to finish it, I can't remember what pattern it is so I'll find out and edit this post later.

Happy stitching.......

Grrrrrrrr

Boy I like the Bathurst car race.... nah not really but it keeps the DH busy so I can get on with my craft. So my job for today was to layer and pin a quilt, I hate layering quilts so I decided to watch a movie " Australia" Teresa lent it to me and I haven't had a chance to see it yet...... thought it might take my mind off the job at hand but the TV I have in my sewing room apparently didn't want to see it ..... as there it was .... DVD..... trying to load but no way was that going to happen..... but I did get the quilt done so all is not lost, now for the ditch stitching and binding then of course a piccie for my blog.

Catching up again !!!!!

Jenny hiding in the bushes.

Jenny, John and me. Bit blurry for this one.

Gavan, John and Jenny

On monday Gavan and I went to visit our friends Jenny and John in Bundaberg, just a quick over night visit but it was great to see them again, we went in our trusty little Light Sport plane so it was quite an adventure as it was my first long trip in it and yes I am still here to tell the tale. As you can see I just had to buy a couple of pressies for myself.... as you do..... they are from the "Quilters Shack" craft shop ( a great craft shop it is too )where Jenny works, it was lovely to meet the girls Jenny works with too. We had a good look at the town and also went to Bargara ( think thats right) by the water and there we had a great fish and chips lunch at a little shop near the water so relaxing, we also went out for tea to Sizzlers and a few coffee shops of course. Naturally I had a big tour of Jenny's craft room which is an important part of the trip lol and as usual we had a few laughs and lots of chatter, thank you Jenny for a great time.

My lovely Corinne

Waiting for 2 limos to arrive so they can arrive in style.

Heather and Corinne just before they left for the Town Hall.

Corinne and me ..... gosh I feel old now, it only seems like yesterday she was a tiny tot.

Corinne and Kenny ( boyfriend)

Ooooops thats not a very nice piccie, didn't mean to put that one up.

Leaving in the limo.

Well here is my g/daughter Corinne at her year 12 formal and I'm so proud of her, I know I'm a bit one eyed but I think she was the most beautiful girl there lol. These are a few of the piccies that we took but it will be great to see the offical photos (they might make me look younger) Heather (her Mum, my daughter) were invited along with all the parents to be at the formal for the first hour to have photos taken which was a terrific idea, the formal was in the Brisbane Town Hall which I've never been in before and it is a lovely old building, all the couples looked great so grown up and ready to face the future, I do hope all their dreams come true.

Spring Craft Fair

Here we are at Beaudesert enjoying a beautiful sunny day at the spring fair, took a while to get things just right but I think it all turned out well in the end, didn't like getting up so early as it was quite cold at 6.30 am but once we got started we warmed up okay. Tereasa put in a lot of work leading up to the fair and I think she did a terrific job as you can see.
